Chappa Kurishu trailer is a copy!

The official trailer of cinematographer turned director Sameer Thahir’s Chappa Kurishu has been hogging the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Soon after the trailer of the film started being aired in the internet, it was evident that the lines used in it have been copied from Alejandro Inarritu’s 2003 movie 21 Grams starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. The format is the same and the lines like ‘how much does LOVE weigh?’ and so on has been directly copied from the Hollywood original. Chappa Kurishu has Vineeth Sreenivasan and Fahadh Fazil in the lead.

Now it is to be seen if the film is also inspired from the same film. With the Hollywood studios taking note of plagiarism in a big way these days, it could prove fatal if copying has been done. The plot thickens now…
