Which JC ?

Dear amksian,
ever wanted early dismissal or recess?
now u can! ....that is if ur teacher is dumb enough
just approach me and i'll send you the sound file of the period bell
all you need is a handphone with bluetooth!

recorded the period bell during recess
and spammed it to 4/fiviens

had an assembly talk by mdm tong regarding JC stuff
some have already applied for DSA
while others have set their target JC
there are people asking me "where do i want to go?"
when i realised that i didnt have a definite answer, i knew that i needed to find one.

first thing first
Poly or Jc?
im not sure man...
ive heard people saying that poly will be better for those who prefer more hands on
oh well, personally, i prefer that...
but i've also heard from others saying that "aiyah, just go JC lah. Its better"
so if i were to go to poly, what course should i take?
if i were to go to Jc, which college should i go?

of course, the best nearest JC is definitely AJC
but many said that AJC is damn boring!!!

next, the coolest and the most popular one is SAJC

however, there is one thing that will certainly affect my choice...
CCA
i felt that i have kinda wasted 4 years playing soccer.
i know that i didnt improve much in this 4 years
i also feel that i suck at it....
im not gonna improve anymore
the bottomline?
no more competitive soccer for me!
i'll just stick to watching and playing leisure soccer.

so in JC, CCA is important and soccer will be at the bottom of my list
so even if i made it to a JC, what sports im gonna take?
common sports like badminton, swimming and basketball....
will confirm be out since im not very good in them...
less common sports like rugby
i dont think i can make it as there are students from other school who have played it in secondary school
so no chance for me...

however, i have a sport in mind that im really interested in...
that is dragonboat!
after a brief research...
i have two colleges in mind...
Nanyang and national...
both have dragonboat as one of their CCAs
unfortunately, SAJC doesnt offer DB :(

National is top 5 (oh no..)
nanyang is somewhere around 10th? (hmm...)
yes, i know that nanyang is a cheena school and i would suffer there...
for me, doesnt really matter lah...
it have been my dream to take part in dragonboat

anyway at the end of the day...
it all comes down to my results
so study hard, do my best and i shall see....

caught Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest on friday
didnt like it...
i was trying to stay awake during the middle part
duck spammed a message to us before the movie:
"Enjoy the boring movie... :)"
he was right man...

had dinner at Cafe Cartel
terence and i ordered the St Louis pork ribs
when it was served, i got a shock
it was huge!
nice but not fantastic, didnt quite like the sauce...

watched Scary Movie 4 dvd, which i borrowed from hongmei, on saturday morning
8days magazine gave only 2/5 stars
but insisted on watching cos movie ratings are very subjective and maybe that 8days guy hate lame shows
but after watching it.... i decided to start trusting 8days movie ratings from now onwards
scary movie 4 is not funny at all!
the jokes are so stupid that you wont laugh at all
it will only make you smile

went to a coffeeshop on saturday night with my parents and i saw the yellow smoking box!!!!
first time seeing it...
damn cool lah...
the table even had a sticker on it

as an anti smoking guy
i was glad to see a man in his late 40s having no choice but to share table with others just because he wanted to smoke

during physic free period
i saw greg and alan bending a pair of scissors
i joined them and we decided to break it!
Ha!
i broke a pair scissors for the first time in 16 years 5 months 9 days!

just another day...

just finished my english summary and i dont feel like doing anymore work now...
maybe later
i counted my words and i exceeded the 160 words limit by 4
but who cares?? i still wrote "160 words" at the bottom
the dumbest thing a person can do is to truthfully write "180 words" at the bottom
honesty is the best policy?

my class is crazy over folding stars and hearts using long straws

used the "lock back-door" method today to collect the Bio practical worksheets
it works everytime!

my grandma...

The plan was for my grandma to stay with my family for 49 days
my dad's brother's family was really glad about it as it meant 49 days without my naggy and unreasonable grandma
yes, she's really very difficult to live with
you might be thinking: "aiyah, what's the big deal? all grandma are the same..."
Hey! wait till you see mine
for about a week now... my grandma has destroyed the warmth and peace in my home
nobody could stand her!
she's damn irritating!

at this moment while im typing this entry,
the last straw of tolerance came just minutes ago!
My dad and her got into a heated argument
knowing my dad, he has a bad bad temper
so bad that i was afraid of him in the past
but for a few years now, he had never lost his temper
the argument reached its boiling point and my dad threatened to commit suicide
he ran to the kitchen and leapt onto the window ledge and threatened to jump
thank god that he came back down and started shouting at my grandma.
with my dad in an unstable state of mind
i did all i could and grabbed him round his waist
moments later, he started hitting himself
he even did a "zidane"(headbutt) to the fridge (so hard that he dented it!)
enough of that man
i quickly wrestled him down and make sure he stays on the ground til he calm down
and i meant wrestle!

that was a lot of drama!
the sight of my dad on the window ledge still flashes in my mind!
damn scary!

my ShuShu (dad's bro) was called over to bring her back for good
now there's peace..... for long i hope

after a bath, my dad is now helping my mum with her work...
my sister is currently having NTU Orientation camp
good for her that she didnt witness what happened

Mr Ling rocks!!!

No doubt, Mr Ling is the most generous teacher i've ever had
on Friday night, he gave the graduating soccer players a treat to kbox at marina square
he booked 2 rooms for 4 hours
10 of us turned up
it was my first time to kbox and i wouldn't say its my last
its fun but expensive
how expensive?
the total bill for that night was around $500!!!
after the 4 hours were up
Mr Ling wanted to extend for another hour but the place was already fully booked
the girls then suggested going to Cineleisure and sing till the next morning.
Mr Ling agreed!
but in the end, we went home cos a few of us, including me, didnt want...

here goes:
He gave the whole soccer team a dinner treat at seoul garden
He booked a chalet for the soccer team and sponsored our BBQ dinner
For all the soccer camps cum BBQ, he paid for all the food
He gave the team many many many MacDonald's treat
He bought Adidas jersey for the team with his OWN money. Mind you, the school paid NOTHING
During soccer friendlies, he paid for the buses and referees with his OWN money
bus = $40 referee = $50
(number of soccer friendlies) X $90 = $$$$$$$$$$

there could be more but that's all i can think of at this moment.
so ya convinced about his generosity?

Jiayu aka angel approached me and asked me if i wanna chip in to treat Mr Ling to dinner on his birthday in September.

Went back to school on Monday after my Grandpa's wake
During the wake, the bonds between my cousins and my sisiter and I have improved tremendously
they are really fun to be with
introducing 4 year old Titus!
He's damn cute!

Minutes earlier, his maid asked him to take a nap and he refused
Later... he fell asleep on the sofa...

Now, back to school...
have been pretty busy these few days
trying to catch up on what i have missed last week

Of course, the world cup final was a hot chit-chat topic
Italy's victory was big news

Everyone is figuring what did Materazzi did to Zidane to agitate him like that

My grandpa...

My paternal grandpa just passed away peacefully in his sleep...
He was the greatest grandpa i can ever asked for
For 16 years, i've never seen him lose his temper; shout or scold
Although my grandma is hard to please and can be very annoying at times
He never once lost his patience
Even on his death bed, he still cared about us
There's just so much about him

I will never forget how he held my hands in the hospital
I too will never forget his last few words to me:
He wanted me to be like my sister and study hard

I will definitely promise him that and do my very best
