Mid-yrs

I'm still sick :(
I seriously think that I'm actually Mummy-sick
I fell sick the day after my Mum left
So based on my little theory, I should recover tomorrow when she returns.
I really hope so...

Mid year exams huh?
Oh man, I'm just not prepared for it
Maths and Chem are over

On both days,
when I stepped out of my house, I had this strange feeling that I've forgotten to bring something
and on both days,
I realised what was that something only when the paper started.
I realised...
I forgot my brain

It was the first time that after a maths paper, I'm hoping for only a pass...
I never felt so lost after a maths paper
Alright, this is A'level H2 Maths huh?
Oh man, I need help
Jie, did you hear me?
I need help
I don't know how you can help
but I know I need help
Help!

All my papers are in the afternoon except for Biology on Thursday
How suay!
My mum is coming back on Wednesday midnight
this means I can't pick her up at the airport :(

And btw, Biology is my shortest paper at 1.5 hour
Its this short probably because the teachers know that the more they give, the more we don't know
so why waste their time marking answers that are there for the sake of being there
And because it has only 20 MCQs, 4 structured and 1 essay
I feel less motivated in studying all the chapters in detailed
so I guess the O'level humanities studying method kicks in
yup, select chapters...

watcha think?
biomolecules?
respirations?
photosynthesis?

this is bad
I've to change my current attitude on studies
I need to focus!

National Schools' Dragon Boat Championship 2007

The Nationals was on Saturday

Here's the brief outline of our races (500m)
we had 3 10 crew boats..
the top 3 teams from each heats enters the final
heat 1: we got 4th, losing out by just 0.2 seconds..
heat 2: one boat got 3rd while the other boat got 6th..
final: we got 5th...

The girls got 2nd for both 20-crew and 10-crew.
20-crew men:
we had 2 boats
1 senior 1 junior
1st- NJC
2nd- ACJC
3rd- seniors
4th- juniors
5th- TPJC

I rowed in the junior boat:)
Was I disappointed not to have rowed in the senior boat and get the bronze medal?
I would be lying if I said no.
I mean, I've been rowing in the senior boat for most of the trainings and even rowed with them in the Masters...
I've grown used to the way they train and how they assess race sets etc...
And I've to admit that I felt a little weird when I first rowed in the junior boat during the last few trainings in bedok...
I felt kinda out of place?
But of course, I know that the J1s are my real team and that we'll be rowing together for another next year.

Anyway, Congratulations to the seniors :)
on the other hand, I was really really glad that I rowed in the junior boat for the Nationals.
Because, we rowed our best race set so far.
In trainings, we usually lose to the seniors by a boat length.
But this time round, we lost by a mere 2 seconds!!!
It was close!
We even beat the senior team from TPJC!
And the thing is that our team only started rowing together 2-3 months ago!

I'm super proud of the team!!!
Even Mr Lee said that he was surprised!
OMG, the team felt soooo good
This is the first time I felt so good without winning :)

Dear team,
We all know that we have great potential!
Lets all train super super hard to improve our fitness and rowing techniques!!!
I have turst in every single one of you!
I believe if we work hard enough, we'll be the team to watch in the next Nationals!

Oh btw, NJC got champion for every single race..
and when they recieved their medals for each races, there were no claps, no screams of joy from them
like WTF?!
they're like so damn used to getting gold

Like how we surprised Mr Lee
He surprised us by telling us that we'll be taking part in the Singapore Dragon Boat Festival.
the races there are like 800m!
We didn't even trained for that!
Well, its gonna be an eye opener for us :)
Jia You!

We had our post race dinner at some restaurant serving international buffet.
and the total bill was $2000 plus...
cool huh?
$32 per head.

The Hunks...

The babes...

I will miss the seniors

Flu...

Damn...
I'm sick :(
Really bad time to fall sick...
my race is next week and I've to kinda chiong for my mid-yr
slept the whole day today.
didnt study at all.
SIAN

Anyway, my mum went to Mexico today...
It's an all expenses paid trip given by her company, American Express...
She won the pacesetter award...
an award given to the best few AMEX staffs of the year.

OMG, all expenses paid trip!
how shiok is that man.
I'm gonna miss her for 10 days!
I'm gonna miss the PSP too
haha

She recently bought a PSP to keep her entertained during the long-haul flights.
Of course, when she suggested buying, I supported her :)
I mean, she can watch movies and play games on the PSP to keep her occupied:)
I even downloaded a mahjong game for her ok.
and I mean... the PSP will be mine when she's back...
MINE :)
MUHAHAHAHAHA!!

While she's away,
I've got to watch her altar for her (hmm.. i'm gonna pray hard everyday to get well asap)
I've got to wash my own smelly training attires
I'll have lonely dinners
the list goes on...

I'm feeling the pinch now
I'm gonna miss her and the psp lots! <3

Mummy boy loves his mum :)

100th post :)

Happy belated birthday to my sister :)

Oh man, I've not studied for my mid-yrs!!!
I'm super lazy
and I'm procrastinating
SHIT

I'm definitely going to do damn badly in my mid-yrs
I don't know man...
It's probably because I'm not used to this kind of setting where exams are after the holidays instead of before...
I know that's not an excuse

And according to the dictionary
"holiday" means a time or period of exemption from any requirements
in this case, studies.

Oh btw, there's this funny incident..
My dad told my mum something via sms
then my mum acknowledged it by replying "Okie dokie"
then my dad was like "Oi, why you call me dog?"
LOL

Anyway, this is my 100th post :)
YAY!

Bangkok 2007

I'm back :)

Masters on last Sunday wasn't too bad I guess...
4th in the heats
1st in repecharge
3rd in semi final
3rd in minor final

An improvement from the last masters :)

Bangkok?
OMG, we shopped from morning to night everyday.
loved it.

And I was a sinner the whole time there.
I lost control of my diet :(
Tom Yum soup everyday.
Bacons for breakfasts.
Dunkin' Donuts.
Starbucks.
Drank beer.
Auntie Anne's pretzels
A&W hotdogs, ice cream waffle and root bear float.
GOSH!

I didn't buy much stuff
but I did buy 20 pieces of Red Bull singlets for the senior guys team.
they wanted it...

went back to the gym on Friday and I felt like CRAP
my fitness dropped when I'm supposed to be peaking.

10 trainings left to Nationals
4 times a week.
first week of holidays gone
and I've not even started studying for my mid-yr
I'm SCREWED.

Anyway, pictures from Bangkok :)

Pris, Pearlyn and Michelle were super sweet to send me off
They bought me Men's Health for me to read on the plane
They made a little booklet with their pictures inside.
They even bought me a barbie doll toy handphone and told me to call them with that when I touched down -_-"
THANKS ALOT Yeah...
during the whole time, they were making it sound as if I'm leaving for months
LOL
AHHH!!
A&W!!!

Yummy yum yum

the food there is damn cheap
this crepe that I'm eating cost only S$1!

OMG, DONUTS!

Our last dinner there
Super SHIOK
and
Super CHEAP

I like this one :)
After a long day of shopping at MBK

At the airport...

Oh, my naughty and playful cousin :)

There're more to it but some pictures are in my sister's bf camera :(

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
