The King & The Commissioner postponed

It all started with much fanfare, but the shooting of The King & The Commissioner has been stopped now. The film marked the coming together of director Shaji Kailas and scenarist Renji Panicker after more than a decade. It also helped Mammootty and Suresh Gopi, who were not in talking terms until recently to bury their hatchet.

But it has not been an easy ride for the makers of the film. Though the grapevine has it that the film’s storyline keeps changing, the reasons are plenty including the IT raid on Mammootty’s houses and Suresh Gopi’s ill health. Anyway, the film which was scheduled for this Onam may take some time to reach the theatres.
