Lara Dutta

Lara Dutta born 16 April 1978, is an Indian actress, UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador and former Miss Universe.
Dutta was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh to a Punjabi father and an Anglo-Indian mother. she was crowned Femina Miss India Universe and Miss Universe in 2000, At Miss Universe 2000 in Cyprus, Dutta was the clear favourite ahead of fierce competition from Venezuela, Spain, USA and Canada.

Lara Dutta primarily signed up to do the Tamil film, Arasatchi in 2002, but due to financial problems, it only released in mid-2004. She made her Hindi debut in 2003 with the film Andaaz which was a box office success and won her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.

Lara Dutta is the special K woman Actress Lara Dutta, who recently launched her video CDs on yoga, was Tuesday appointed the brand ambassador of Kellogg's breakfast cereal brand Special K.

"With Special K, I know I have a low-fat breakfast option to start my day. Plus, it helps keep me full and leaves me with energy to grapple with my long day ahead. And, the best part is that I love the taste, " the former Miss Universe said in a press statement.

The 32-year-old, last seen in "Housefull", says she connects well with the product.

"I can relate to the Special K woman - I enjoy the confidence that comes from loving your body, and I also try to keep a positive and simple approach to things, including managing my weight, " she added.

Officials at Kellogg India, the Indian subsidiary of Kellogg Company, producer of ready-to-eat cereal and convenience foods, too said Lara is the perfect choice to endorse Special K.

"We are delighted to have Lara on board. We feel she personifies the Special K woman to the T. The Special K woman is feminine, positive, and loves the confidence that comes from the weight that she believes is right for her. She eats and exercises in a simple and balanced manner, " Kellogg India managing director Sangeeta Pendurkar said.
