First half of prelims are over!

Yaaayyyy
the first half of prelims are over!!!
Woooohoooo
after our physics paper ended, all of us were acting as if prelims were over!
cant blame us...
with 11 days of holiday ahead and teacher's day celebration tmr, our kind of reaction is understandable
of course, we musnt lose our momentum
continue to study hard people!

wanna do well for exams?
caught jun xiang (ex no.1) doing this before chemistry paper 2
try it!!!just came back from shopping with my mum...
and i bought an Adidas polo tee for the most generous teacher on Earth
Mr Ling!!!
recieved a letter informing me about National Service!
wow, feel like a big man now
it says that once u turn 16.5 yrs of age, you are eligible for national service!!!
so, if i'm really fed-up with studies, i can enlist myself for national service!

To all durian lovers!

according to them, its SHIOK!

Present for Mrs Veda

I was at Precious Thots at causeway point with my mum
she saw this cute cushion with "world's greatest teacher" sewn on it
and she suggested getting it for Mrs Veda
thought it was a good idea since this is my last year already
so i bought it...
eh no, my mum paid for it so i didnt actually bought it
oh well, anyway here's my little present for
Mrs Vedamoorthy Maha Letchimi D/O Krishnasamy!!!

nice huh?
no, i meant im nice not the cushion
im such a nice and grateful student! :P

hours ago, i had a terrible stomach ache
i sat on the toilet bowl for freaking long before i decided to apply some oilment
i asked my mum to apply for me...
when you get your mum to apply the oilment for you
the pain will magically subside :)

And if you have any muscle soreness or bruises
that's when the prowess of your daddy comes in
yes, get him to massage for you and the pain will be gone!!!
try it and put magicians to shame!!!

Alright, to end this entry, here are some jokes from Reader's Digest

On the way to a gig, a juggler is stopped by the police, " What are those machetes doing in our car?" asks the officer.
"I use them in my act"
"Oh, yeah?" says the doubtful cop. "Lets see."
The juggler starts tossing and catching the deadly blades.
"My God," says a passing driver to his passenger. "I'm glad i quit drinking and driving. Look at the test they're giving you now."

Why is Cinderella bad at sports?
A: Because she has a pumpkin for a coach, and she runs away from the ball.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Flu...

Which is faster?
hot or cold?

COLD!
i caught a cold...
when i think of it, i feel dumb -_-
Why?

Alright, here's my great grandmother story
we had S.S test till about 6pm in the library
i got home pretty late around 7pm
throughout the whole weekend, i was feeling guilty from the amount of unhealthy food and ice-cream i ate.
my mum certainly didnt help by buying more ice-cream!

once i reached home, i quickly changed and went down for a run
a run round my estate is around 2km?
i was feeling hungry
and the fact that my mum had ta pau indonesian grilled chicken set from plaza singapura home for dinner didnt help!!!
after my run, the faster i take a bath and change, the sooner i can eat...
so i bathe almost immediately and when i came out of the toilet, i was still perspiring!
Still topless, i switched on the ceiling to high and started eating...
then my mum said "derek, do you that you can catch a cold like that?"
i said "aiyah, cannot one lah"
and when i woke up this morning....... FLU!
Wooohooo!!!!

oh btw, you know the indonesian grilled chicken that i was talking about?
its in the food court on the top floor
try it if you haven't
its damn yummy!!!
donovan, bealson and eugene have tried it before too!!!
you can ask them!!!

on sunday
my dad borrowed my ah kon's company van to run some errands for my sister
we went to collect a second hand mini bar then bought a shelf from ikea
then to my sister's hostel at NTU
the place was pretty cool!
the sports facilities are just next to her hall
there is even a street soccer court!
awesome!
her room was not bad...
heard from my parents that the room was in a terrible state initially
but after scrubbing the floor with "simply green" cleaning agent
the room is clean again!
woot

we brought our old tv over too...
nice isnt it?

the idea of staying with a friend beside your school is damn cool lah
but of course, home is still number 1!

O'level Chinese results!!!!

Miss Poon had to join the lower sec for some elements stuff
that allowed us to join the rest in receiving our results at 12.45pm
and... i got...

C5
my class did pretty badly...
no A1
only 1 A2
the rest B3, C4 and C5

my class guys were pretty disapointed
me?
i was neither sad nor overjoyed with C5
im satisfied with it...
i knew that my results are gonna be around there...

C6? i'll be glad that i passed
C5? not too bad...
B4? i'm lucky and tyco
B3? damn damn lucky and tyco
A2? there must be a mistake in the marking of my scripts
A1? Mr Tan gave me the wrong results

had to give Mr Tan 3 reasons why i do not want to retake inorder to take the form...
done that...

went to watch the fast and furious: tokyo drift
a cool show...
if u like the first two shows, you will like this one because of the cars and races.

To all those who are retaking their O'level mother tongue:
Work hard and all the best to you
Hope that you will achieve an A1 this time round =)

Congratulations to Jeff and Terence and to all who obtained distinctions!
Cheers!

Fireworks...

saw lots of fireworks for the past few days
hmm... actually its only 2 days

anyway, went for 4/1 Miss Tay's farewell dinner at marina south
met up a few guys earlier at marina square to watch Click
tickets were sold out and we ended up playing pool
met up the rest and made out way to marina south and blah blah~

halfway through our dinner at 9pm
everyone chiong out onto the field to watch the fireworks display

got home at about 12...
at around 1am, i called my sis and she told me that she was going to watch Click with her bf at 1.50am!
took a cab down to cineleisure and joined them =)
its was the latest or should i say the earliest movie that i've watched
during the show, i was struggling to stay awake with my biological clock ticking away

went to NDP 2006 at the stadium
terence exchanged tickets with his aunt who had yellow sector tickets and came to join me!
Yay!
show was good!
the goodies bag was better
the fireworks was the best!

Caught a beeeaaauuutttiful picture of the sky
jealous?
oh, there's something that we saw but home viewers did not
did you know that during the parade when the GOH were marching past,
someone from the contigents carrying pink and white flags fainted?
jealous?
me and terence!
the HO brothers!
we have singapore flags tattooed on our face
jealous?

So.... you jealous?

I've got a NDP 2006 ticket!!!!

Palvin managed to get a NDP 2006 ticket at the yellow sector!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
god bless him!

had our very own version of national day parade
this time, co-organised by YCK CC
the concept and idea of this year's parade was damn cool!
unlike past years, the parade commander held a sword
the ncc land and air unit wore No.1!
awesome!
the best part of the parade was defintely when the ncc units marched out with the flags
however, we were kinda let down by the lack of standard in the parade
if the sec 4 cadets were to take part, the parade would have been perfect!
oh, the band was excellent!

what do you do when you have mini flag and an enlarged ear-hole?
This!

Happy birthday Ying Jian!

Ladies and Gentlemen
I am a supporter of the Anti-Drug Campaign!
... and am proud of my name!
D!

Haiz...
when you are feeling the streeeeesssssssss of the big "O"
you just have to do such stuff to stay alive

caught these!
hey, it is the same guy!
where's his underwear?!
So, what is the moral of the story?
you either be cool and tuck in your shirt
or
buy bigger shirts!

my class did the filming for the graduation CD after school
everyone was like complaining
and jun xiang asured us that if it goes smoothly, it'll take up only 30-45mins
In the end, it took us an hour and a half to complete it
now, guess what happens next?

what's new?

after the free show ended, i rushed home in a cab
noel, xinyi and duck came to my house at 5pm
then we went to buy the mountain bike for ying jian's bday prezzie from woodland mart
we had a hard time getting a cab that agrees to take the bike to Pasir Ris
i tried about 5-6 times while xinyi tried once

then came our hero
the bike shop uncle!
he helped us to bring the bike down,
hailed a cab,
shouted "Pasir Ris" in hokkien
asked the driver whether he's willing to take the bike
friendly driver nods head
bikie uncle helped us to place the bike nicely into the trunk
and off we go!!!
WOOOHOOO

the uncle was extremely nice!
god bless him!

Once there at costa sands
we parked the bike nicely infront of the chalet
waiting to give yingjian a surprise
with a cute ribbon on the seat and the card on the handle bar!

moments later, yingjian told us that the chalet unit had been changed to A-block
damn!!!
plan failed -_-"
no more surprise

anyway, through out the whole night, ying jian was over-busy with preparing the food and running errands for his mum
didnt get to spent time with him
i was rather disapointed
felt that his mum shouldnt have tied him down with so much crap work
instead, she should have let him enjoy himself more!

when we finally managed to get him out and cycle to pasir ris interchange with us
halfway through and his mum called and wanted him back right away
dang it!

while we were taking a rest at 7-11
one ah beng approached me and asked:
"Oi brother, ni you mei you yan?"
WTF?!
remove the stamps from your eyes!
Do i look as if i smoke?
i looked into the mirror a million times and all i see is a lazy boy who is facing the big "O"s in 80 days time and is not prepared for any exam shit!

god save me!
send me victorious!
happy and glorious!
=)

Maggots!!!

saw the title?
yes!
maggots!
during recess today, duck bought cai fan from stall 3, home sweet home.
he ate like 95% of it already before seeing....
THIS!!!
Close-up...

looks like im not gonna buy food from stall 3 for at least a month
as for duck, probably at least a year

During assembly, we had the upper-sec racial harmony dress-up and answer qns thing...
Ahem
guess who was the first runner-up for sec4?
yeeyew and alison from 4/5!!!
woooooo
everyone thought that 4/2 was gonna win for sure
yeah, i thought so too
they had the best costumes
but according to mrs chung during the english EC
she told us that mrs anand (judge) said that Eurasian isnt one of the main race, so that is why 4/2 didnt win
but woah, mrs chung told us that she went to rent the costumes and even prepared cans for cheering
she was really enthusiastic about it
a big kudos for all the effort!

Oh, did i mention that the prize they gave was damn cheapskate?

During History EC on wednesday
miss zaiton told us stories about the amazing discoveries and feat made by the Chinese
particularly about Chinese Mummy
no its not your mother
its the mummy, mummy
u know the mummy?
yes im talking about that mummy

when u see the word "mummy", many would think of the Egyptian mummies
But how many would know that the best preserved bodies (mummy) are found in China?
chinese mummies are so so so amazing that you'll start respecting the capabilities of ancient chinese embalmers.
miss zaiton was telling us about one mummy that she learned from watching a show on National Geographic Channel
did a mini research as i was interested and found out that the one she was referring to was Lady Dai
She is dead for a few thousands years already!!!
The body is so well preserved that it can be autopsied by pathologists as if it were only recently dead.
When Lady Dai was found her skin was supple and her limbs could be manipulated; her hair was intact; her type A blood still ran red in her veins, and her internal organs were all intact.
Absolutely Amazing!
info was obtained from here

btw, i wanna share what mrs zaiton also told us during history EC
"whenever you feel like giving up or unmotivated to study, just tell yourself that you've invested and spent 1 year and 7 months and you're not gonna waste it!"

before i end this entry, here's a link to an awesome blog which i saw on Jeff's blog
