Close-up...
looks like im not gonna buy food from stall 3 for at least a month
as for duck, probably at least a year
During assembly, we had the upper-sec racial harmony dress-up and answer qns thing...
Ahem
guess who was the first runner-up for sec4?
yeeyew and alison from 4/5!!!
woooooo
everyone thought that 4/2 was gonna win for sure
yeah, i thought so too
they had the best costumes
but according to mrs chung during the english EC
she told us that mrs anand (judge) said that Eurasian isnt one of the main race, so that is why 4/2 didnt win
but woah, mrs chung told us that she went to rent the costumes and even prepared cans for cheering
she was really enthusiastic about it
a big kudos for all the effort!
Oh, did i mention that the prize they gave was damn cheapskate?
During History EC on wednesday
miss zaiton told us stories about the amazing discoveries and feat made by the Chinese
particularly about Chinese Mummy
no its not your mother
its the mummy, mummy
u know the mummy?
yes im talking about that mummy
when u see the word "mummy", many would think of the Egyptian mummies
But how many would know that the best preserved bodies (mummy) are found in China?
chinese mummies are so so so amazing that you'll start respecting the capabilities of ancient chinese embalmers.
miss zaiton was telling us about one mummy that she learned from watching a show on National Geographic Channel
did a mini research as i was interested and found out that the one she was referring to was Lady Dai
She is dead for a few thousands years already!!!
The body is so well preserved that it can be autopsied by pathologists as if it were only recently dead.
When Lady Dai was found her skin was supple and her limbs could be manipulated; her hair was intact; her type A blood still ran red in her veins, and her internal organs were all intact.
Absolutely Amazing!
info was obtained from here
btw, i wanna share what mrs zaiton also told us during history EC
"whenever you feel like giving up or unmotivated to study, just tell yourself that you've invested and spent 1 year and 7 months and you're not gonna waste it!"
before i end this entry, here's a link to an awesome blog which i saw on Jeff's blog
