Brittany Murphy Dies At 32
Brittany Murphy, who gained fame from movies such as "8 Mile" and "Just Married" before giving voice to popular animated characters, has died at age 32. The Los Angeles County coroner's office said her death at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center appeared to be from natural causes but police were investigating.
Murphy was transported to the hospital after the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at 8 a.m. at the home she shared with her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, in the Hollywood Hills. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said Murphy apparently collapsed in the bathroom, and authorities were looking into her medical history.

An official cause of death may not be determined for some time, since toxicology tests will be required, but "it appears to be natural," Winter said.

Kate Hudson's Lonely New Year
Hollywood star Kate Hudson was forced to celebrate a lonely New Year's eve as her plans had been ruined following her split from Alex Rodriguez. The actress and the baseball star, who ended their seven-month relationship earlier this month, had planned to usher in 2010 by attending a host of parties in Miami, Florida. However, Kate cancelled her involvement. "They were both scheduled to appear together at several bashes. Obviously that did not happen - she cancelled," a source said. Friends of Kate have also claimed she had trouble trusting Alex.
"Kate has some trust issues with A-Rod. She doesn't know for sure if there is another woman, but there's a girl she thinks he has a crush on. She's been worrying about other women for a while and is definitely the jealous type," a friend of the actress said.

Barton said she is so clumsy she would make a terrible date and that her awkward antics attract unwanted attention from the paparazzi.

Kate Hudson is notorious for being clingy when she’s with a boyfriend so it’s no surprise that she’s all over Madonna’s ex ‘pal’ Alex Rodriguez like a rash.
‘She’s always travelling with the team now,’ says a pal of the actress, ‘and she’s practically living at his place in New York. She’s always at his apartment, even when he’s off on the road. She’s made herself quite comfortable in his life. She’s met his oldest daughter and her son likes Alex. She has become very serious about him.’

Reeves To Take DNA Test To Finally Clear His Name
Keanu Reeves has finally agreed to take a DNA test to prove once and for all that he is not the father of a Canadian woman’s kids. Earlier this year, Reeves was sued for paternity by 45-year-old Karen Sala, who insists the actor fathered at least one of her four adult children.
During initial hearings, Sala claimed Reeves had admitted being the dad and even visited the kids on a regular basis. He, however, has always insisted he’s never even met Sala.
The DNA test is to take place within the next four weeks, but Reeves has also demanded that Sala’s husband give samples too and that the tests are performed at an LA laboratory of his choice.

Miley Nabs Her Man
The girlfriend of Miley Cyrus’ latest co-star is blaming the teen singer for splitting up their five-year romance.
Cyrus has been filming The Last Song with 18-year-old Aussie Liam Hensworth and was rumoured to have become close to her colleague after she was spotted cosying up with him at a Nashwille airport last month.
Although Cyrus herself denies any romance, that’s not how Hemsworth’s long-term squeeze Laura Griffin sees it. She says that as soon as Hemsworth returned home, she was dumped and she reckons Miley was the cause.
‘There’s no other reason we would have broken up,’ she wailed. ‘Liam and I have been inseparable since school. But she’s Miley Cyrus. How can I complete?’

Emily Blunt’s engagement to US actor John Krasinski has received the blessing of Emily’s father, leading criminal judge QC Oliver Blunt, who describes John as “a lovely guy, very bright and a great companion for Emily”. The Young Victoria star and The Office actor started dating last November and are steaming ahead with plans for the wedding. “She’s interested in starting a family, so there’s really not a lot of time to waste sitting around,” a source said.


Fans Go Mad For Jessica As Filming Begins
The sequel to the Sex And The City movie has only just begun filming in New York, but the set has descended into mayhem, with Sarah Jessica Parker warning her bodyguards to tone down their antics.
At one point, teenage girls were practically trampling each other trying to get to Sarah Jessica as she was walking back to her trailer, but her security team were shoving everyone out of the way,’ says an eyewitness. ‘When Sarah Jessica saw what was going on, she warned them not to hurt her fans. She looked extremely upset and concerned.’
Parker isn’t the only focus of attention. Co-star Cynthia Nixon had to have her trailer rerouted when it was besieged by overeager fans. “They were just too much,’ says a source. ‘Security looked legitimately concerned for her safety.’ Things got so bad that shooting was abandoned.


Dirty Dancing Star Patrick Swayze Dies At 57
Patrick Swayze personified a particular kind of masculine grace both on and off screen, from his roles in films like Dirty Dancing and Ghost to the way he carried himself in his long fight with pancreatic cancer. Swayze died from the illness On September 14 in Los Angeles, his publicist said. He was 57.
“Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” said Annett Wolf in a statement. She declined to give details.
Fans of the actor were saddened to learn in March 2008 that Swayze was suffering from a deadly form of cancer. He continued working despite the diagnosis, putting together a memoir with his wife and shooting The Beast, a drama series for which he had already made the pilot.
Swayze said he chose not to use painkillers while making The Beast because they would have taken the edge off his performa-nce. The show drew a respect-able 1.3 million viewers when the 13 episodes ran this year.

Jessica Simpson’s new documentary show about female looks is called The Price Of Beauty. But producers already know the price of beauty – it’s around 12,000 pound sterling an hour.
That’s how much it is costing to get Simpson camera ready for the series, in which Jessica travels the globe to examine how women in different cultures achieve their looks. ‘She is insisting on using all her own hair, make-up and fashion stylists’, says a source. ‘They’re even more expensive than J.Lo’s people,’ adds the source.
However, given all the publicity that Simpson has recently generated with the whole Tony Romo break-up, no one is prepared to put their foot down.
Anyway, it’s not like you can do a beauty show fronted by someone who packs on a load of weight and wears unflattering mom jeans…

The man who oversaw Paris Hilton’s rise to stardom is shopping a tell-all book, in which he threatens to expose the starlet’s innermost secrets.
Jason Moore, who repped Hilton for ten years before they parted company last year, has called the book Controlling Chaos and says he will expose the tricks he used to turn the heiress into a global icon. ‘Jason will show how he managed to save his client from disgrace by manipulating the media and Paris herself,’ claims the book proposal. Hilton, who is reputed to be back with recent ex Dough Reinhardt, has yet to comment on the proposal but since Moore never signed a confidentiality agreement, she may be powerless to stop him. The book claims: ‘If Paris Hilton didn’t have Jason Moore pulling the strings, she could well have faded into oblivion.’

Could Katherine Heigl be turning into Hollywood’s most unpopular woman? The actress is now getting it in the neck from her former co-star, the normally mild-mannered Seth Rogen. Rogen, who appeared with Heigl in the smash hit Knocked Up, says he was upset when she later labelled the film ‘sexist’ and that it ‘painted women as shrews’. ‘Maybe she was just tired after doing six hours of interviews, but I was upset. She didn’t call me later to explain. But I gotta say, it’s not like we’re the only people she’s said crazy things about recently. You’re looking great as always – how do you keep in shape?
I workout regularly. I use my own strength. I lift weights, I do yoga, pilates, those type of exercises, you know. I work out a few days a week, eat healthy, get plenty of sleep and try to keep in shape that way.

What are your beauty tips?
I don’t necessarily have a beauty routine but I do try and drink a lot of water – lots and lots of water. That’s something my mom always told me to do, especially while travelling.

How do you relax after a hard day?
After a long day at work, I really like to cook. I actually find cooking dinner a really nice routine, especially after working, it makes me feel sort of normal again. There is something nice about the routine. Often when you’re working, you’re travelling around a lot and you feel kind of disconnected – so I find having a routine like coming home and cooking dinner every day sort of makes me feel more at home.

How does it feel to be regarded as an icon and a role model?
I always thought you reached icon status after you left this world. I never signed up to be a role model as such. Of course, ever since I was a little girl I had an idea of what I wanted to do – which was to pursue my dream of being a successful actor. If that makes me a role model for people to look up to, then I suppose I am flattered by it. So it’s important to keep your head straight and focus on your goal.

How do you feel when people call you the sexiest woman in the world?
I don’t know. There are so many beautiful women out there.

You wear a lot of gorgeous gowns, but what three essential pieces of clothing could you not live without?
Probably a pair of high-waisted black trousers, a grey cardigan and a really soft T-shirt.

So tell us, what does a Hollywood superstar always carry in her handbag?
Other than my mobile phone and my wallet, I always have a lot of moisturiser in my handbag and I keep lots of different kinds of chap sticks, lip glosses and lip balms too. I always have a lot of lip products in my bag.

How would you describe your style?
I think my style is sort of a New York sense of style. Practical, casual, but well-tailored. And I have a lot of dark colours in my wardrobe, a lot of grey and black. I would say that I’m most comfortable in jeans and a cardigan, but at the same time I like to dress up sometimes too. Obviously I go to a lot of events, so I’ve learned to feel comfortable in a pair of four inch heels too!

Who’s your style icon?
Well, I’d say my day-to-day style icon is Marlene Dietrich. I love that kind of masculine tailoring for women and I’m a big fan of the suits and trousers with blouses look. I love her style.

You are constantly travelling. What’s your favourite destination?
I love to be in London. I work there a lot and I have a lot of friends there, so it’s a bit like a second home to me. And also Rome. I love Rome for holidays.

Aniston Has The Best Personal Chef

Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston says that her celebrity friends prefer her home cooked food over expensive gourmet cuisine as her personal chef is the best cook in town.
The 40-year-old actress said that her home is their favourite eating joint and therefore she never has to dine alone.
“My friends love coming over, because they get fed. It's the best restaurant in town,” said Aniston.
“Her friends are in and out all the time. Jen's a homebody. It's been so much fun to create a place where everybody feels comfortable, like one big family,” said Jewels Elmore, who works as Aniston's private chef.
And Aniston credits her chef for introducing her to delicacies which she hated earlier.
“I used to hate fish but one day Jewels handed me this thing, and I tasted it.”
Salmon is now the actress' favourite along with brussels sprouts, another dish Aniston once disdained.

Sylvester To Be Awarded At Venice Film Festival
Sylvester Stallone will receive Glory to the Filmmaker award at Venice Film Festival this year.
Organisers have described him as "a very original filmmaker" and added that his films were "capable of tenderness even when dripping with blood".
They said in a statement: "Stallone's work has explored the brightest and darkest areas of the American dream." The ‘Rambo’ star is happy he is being recognised at the Italian event in which his stint as an actor and director in Hollywood will be one of the major highlights. "Being honoured at the Venice Film Festival is something I have always hoped would become a reality and now that it’s actually happened, it’s been well worth the wait," he said. The award is generally given to a person who has left a mark on contemporary cinema.
The 66th Venice Film Festival is scheduled from 2 September to 12 September.”

‘Posh Goes Posh With Queen’s Accent’

Victoria Beckham was said to have lived up to her Spice Girls’ nickname “Posh” after speaking in an accent resembling that of Queen Elizabeth II in a recent interview. The former singer was interviewed by Sky News presenter Eamonn Holmes, who noticed that the star had ditched her Essex-style vowels. Victoria was said to have revealed her new cut glass voice while discussing her new job as a judge on American Idol .
“I am so excited, I am just so happy to be a part of the show. I am a huge fan and so are my boys and so is David, so to be part of it is just great,” she said.
Holmes later commented: “Now the most interesting thing about all that to me is that Posh has now gone posh. A little bit of an American accent in there, but actually a very nice speaking voice.”

Seeking a respite from the cheesy High School Musical franchise, Zac is now set to star in a much more grown-up drama, Me And Orson Welles.
“It’s completely different to what I’ve done before,’ says Zac. “Gosh, I would say that’s the main reason I’m looking forward to it. It’s just a side I’ve never really shown before. I think there’s going to be a lot of colour in this movie. A lot of things you haven’t seen, hopefully. I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed.”

“I think someone who’s made wise choices is Leonardo DiCaprio. He’s my definition of teen star, because when I was growing up his face was everywhere,” Zac gushes. “I think since then, he’s developed an incredible body of work. If there’s anyone I’d like to emulate, it’s him.”

He plays the stereotypical high-school hottie in Gossip Girl, but Chace Crawford is far from thrilled by the gossip that his role generates.

Despite the success Chace has had, he’s vowed never to play another teen hunk role, once Gossip Girl finishes. “There’s a lot of adverse effects to being a certain type,” he reasoned. “I think the remedy is to reinvent yourself. I’m not going to take the same type of roles in the future.”

Once he ditches his Gossip Girl character Nate Archibald, Chace has his sights set on much more highbrow material.
“I’d like to do an Arthur Miller or Chekhov play,” he revealed.
