Housed in a magnificent colonial building dating back to 1881, Hullett House is a celebration of Hong Kong’s rich “East meets West” heritage. Guests can stay in a Chinese Imperial Suite with hand-painted Qing dynasty murals and a bed fit for an Emperor, an elegant English pastoral suite decorated in restful greens with 26 hand-painted native songbirds or a vibrant China pop-art suite. There are ten individually-designed suites, each with its own terrace and modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, rain-head showers and surround sound. The bespoke Hong Kong experience extends to the dining table with the House’s five restaurants. Hullett House is ideally located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui just a few minutes from the Star Ferry and other visitor attractions. St. George: The signature fine dining restaurant, serving contemporary French cuisine boats a refined atmosphere of an English club, reflecting Hong Kong’s British influences. The menu is created by Michelin-star chef, Philippe Orrico, a protégé of Pierre Gagnaire.
Loong Toh Yuen: The Cantonese restaurant, with elements of old Hong Kong teahouse culture in its inspired décor, Loong Toh Yuen revives long-lost Hong Kong dishes and offers a comprehensive selection of classic dim sum.
The Parlour: A glamorous lounge where the day starts with English breakfast, followed by luncheon and afternoon tea. In the evenings an array of international dishes and exotic cocktails is offered.
Stables Grill: Set inside the former stables of Hullett House, with views over the sweeping lawns, Stables Grill is the perfect place enjoy casual dining expertly presented by Chef Philippe Orrico and his culinary team.
Mariners’ Rest: There has been a Mariners’ Rest - a haven for seamen and the Hong Kong marine police - here for more than 100 years. Today it serves beers on tap and British gastro pub fare with a modern edge. Brave visitors will be able to visit and drink in the building’s original jail cells.
The hotel’s ten suites range in size from 800 to 1100 square feet, and are individually designed by owner David Yeo. Each has its own private terrace and spectacular views over the city and the sweeping lawns of the House. Modern amenities include a rain-head shower in the bathroom and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, 37-inch LCD TV, Sherwood sound system and i-Pod docking station. Guests enjoy a complimentary mini-bar and bespoke service provided by the House’s butlers.
